Coleman Estates are pleased to be supporting the 5th annual SAFEagent Awareness Week, running from 6th – 10th June 2016 to highlight the benefits of choosing a regulated SAFEagent. SAFE stands for ‘Safe Agent Fully Endorsed’ and is a mark of trust, denoting firms that protect landlords and tenants money through client money protection (CMP) schemes of regulatory organisations. As Coleman Estates is accredited by both ARLA, the Association of Residential Letting Agents, and NALS, the National Approved Lettings Scheme, client money is protected by two separate CMP schemes which recognise that the agent maintains and operates a designated client account. This gives greater protection and regulation over client funds, as it is held completely separate from the company’s operating accounts.
Membership of both ARLA and NALs is renewed and standards checked annually, which means that if you see these logos you can be sure that the agent is fully regulated and achieves defined standards of customer service and client accounting practices.
